Paola Semenzato è laureata con lode in “Biodiversità e conservazione della natura” e ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca in ecologia del movimento degli ungulati selvatici. Si occupa di Biologia della Conservazione, con particolare riferimento alla fauna selvatica, alla pianificazione e gestione della biodiversità e alla conservazione degli habitat.
Ha maturato una solida esperienza come project manager nello sviluppo e coordinamento di progetti di monitoraggio faunistico, pianificazione ambientale e gestione della biodiversità. Ha lavorato alla redazione di Piani di Gestione per siti Natura 2000 e riserve naturali, Studi di Incidenza, Piani Faunistici Venatori e progetti LIFE.
Possiede competenze avanzate in telemetria GPS, GIS, banche dati spaziali, PostgreSQL/PostGIS e analisi ecologica applicata alla conservazione della fauna. Ha inoltre svolto attività di data curator per il progetto europeo EUROMAMMALS, occupandosi della gestione, controllo e valorizzazione di dati spaziali relativi alla fauna selvatica.
Affianca all’attività tecnica e progettuale anche attività di docenza e divulgazione scientifica, con particolare riferimento alla conservazione della biodiversità, alla gestione della fauna selvatica e all’utilizzo di strumenti GIS e banche dati spaziali per l’analisi e la pianificazione ambientale.
