The Italian Mammal Society (ATIt) in collaboration with the Associazione Nazionale Musei Scientifici (ANMS), is pleased to announce the launch of the seventh edition of “M’ammalia. A week of mammals” that will take place from the 30th of October to the 8th of November.
M’ammalia is a series of events that are coordinated by the ATIt and organised by scientific and cultural institutions (museums, botanical gardens, libraries..), protected natural areas and associations in order to spread awareness about mammals and the ecosystems they live in. The 2015 edition of the event will be entitled “Mammals in….Seventh Heaven”, a metafore that explains how much joy you can find when discovering mammals!
The ATIt, the ANMS, the SISN (Società Italiana di Scienze Naturali) and the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Milano will dedicate a day to Prof. Luigi Cagnolaro, Honourary President of the ATIt and a great Italian zoologist whose entire life was tirelessly conditioned by his thirst of new knowledge and enthusiasm of new discoveries.
